When God Rebuilds a Woman (week 1: day 4)
Welcome to the first week of diving deeper into the IM.Possible conversation. This season we're talking about rebuilding from the inside out, which is necessary to experience real healing and real growth. Each week, I'll be giving you some tools to assist you with your rebuilding process. These tools are rooted in the word of God, which gives us hope, strength, and power. So, let's dive right in.
Week 1: Day 4- Surrender & Weakness
As a woman, it's so easy for us to pretend that everything is okay when it's not. To cry in secret but go about our days with a smile on our faces. To make sure everyone around us is comfortable even if it means we have to be uncomfortable for a while. But let me tell you, Gods power works best in weakness according to 2 Corinthians 12:9.
Admitting to being hurt, needing help, or even being tired is not a crime and it doesn't devalue you as a woman. In fact, when we are honest with God during our weakest moments, that is when we experience the most strength because there is power in vulnerability.
Just think about how you really feel when you walk around trying to be strong all day, especially when you don't actually feel strong. When things are heavy and it's hard to get up in the morning. When you have to force yourself to keep moving forward, although everything within you wants to just breakdown and cry. These moments don't feel great at all. But imagine someone coming along and saying, "You don't have to be strong, I can be strong for you." That's God, and that is exactly what He wants to do with our pain. He wants to be our strength during the hardest times.
