When God Rebuilds a Woman (week 1: day 5)

Welcome to the first week of diving deeper into the IM.Possible conversation. This season we're talking about rebuilding from the inside out, which is necessary to experience real healing and real growth. Each week, I'll be giving you some tools to assist you with your rebuilding process. These tools are rooted in the word of God, which gives us hope, strength, and power. So, let's dive right in.

Week 1: Day 5- Letting go & Rebuilding

Sis, today's study is probably one of the hardest ones to dive into this week, because it's about letting go. Which in theory seems so simple, but in all actuality, can be one of the toughest things we ever have to do in life. We may be required to let go of a relationship, a job, past hurt or trauma, habits, or even things that provide comfort to us. But God never instructs us to let go of things for no good cause.

Hebrews 12:1 describes life as a race, and as we grow throughout life, there is a shedding that has to take place. Things that may have served us at one point in our lives, may need to be left behind as we rebuild and grow. Imagine trying to run a race while carrying a bunch of unnecessary weight with you. It's going to slow you down and hinder your full potential. It could even stop you from reaching the finished line, depending on how heavy the weight is.

This is why it is so important to allow God to remove things from your life as you begin to rebuild from the inside out. In Hebrews, it's described as a "stripping of weight that slows us down, and in the same sentence, sin is described as something that trips us up. So, instead of going through life weighted down and stumbling, we are called to let go... Strip that man out of your life sis, remove chaos from your environment, and get rid of everything that is keeping you from growth.

It is not meant for you to do alone. Verse 2 tells us that the way to let go is by "keeping our eyes on Jesus." If we are looking towards Him, then that means that we don't allow the distractions, the false promises, the fleshly desires, or any other thing to gain our attention. We look towards God, who is the source of our strength and a present help in our time of need.

I urge you to continue diving deeper into Letting go & Rebuilding by looking into the listed scriptures below. Leave a comment and tell us what revelations God has revealed to you during your personal time of study.
